EPIN Working Paper №18 (draft version) - The Review of Microfinance Development in Central Asia

Current paper analyzes the microfinance policies and institutions in a number of countries in Central Asia. The emphasis is given to the role and importance of microfinance as an effective measure in poverty alleviation. It presents a detailed analysis of regional microfinance programmes and their role in area based development, as well as the demand for the microfinance services in Uzbekistan.
