In search of responsive government. State building and economic growth in the Balkans

This paper sets out an intellectual analysis of the state of affairs within the Balkan countries from a political, economic and future growth perspective. The authors find the comparison between the EU model and the Balkans unhelpful as the problems in the region are markedly different from the rest of Europe.
