Brief description
The institute was established in 2003 as an independent, non-commercial public fund. The institute was a response to the challenges of development and economic transition faced by Kyrgyzstan.

Objectives
The Institute promotes socio-economic and public administration reforms in the country, involving civil societies in the process of elaboration and holding the reforms and using the best international experience, thus, developing national potential.

Areas of activity

• Monitoring legislative, normative, and executive processes
  
• Coordinating the discussion of issues and finding possible solutions, involving civil societies, businesses, professional
  associations, and the government
  
• Organizing research activities and assessments for elaborating strategies and priorities for the development of the country
• Promoting the standards of public policy, processes of coordination, and effective public administration instruments
  
• Executing projects on various economic subjects
