Brief description

The National Institute of Strategic Planning and Economic Development of Turkmenistan is a government institution and was established in October 2007. Overall the institute has 84 staff members.

At the moment the institute is implementing a project called “National strategy on improvement of social and living conditions of people in small towns and villages on the period till 2020”.

Goals and objectives

The mission of the institute is to identify strategic directions for the socio-economic development of the country, and to provide policy advice to the government through its research works.

Areas of activities

The institute mainly focuses in research and policy advising activites in the areas of agricultural reform, public administration reform, and private sector development.
