Brief description

ICEG European Center is an independent research institute and a network of Central and Eastern European research institutions.

Goals and objectives

Analysing and forecasting macroeconomic and sectoral indicators
Disseminating research outputs through conferences and publications
Analysising regional economic developments, including issues related to EU Enlargement, convergence and economic transition

Areas of activities

Conducting research in the following areas:
- European macroeconomic issues with particular attention to the New Member States (NMS) and Southeast Europe (SEE): - economic growth, competitiveness and their major determinants: - diffusion of information and communication technologies in the economy and in the society, with particular attention to European, NMS and Southeast European trends; - public economics with particular attention to the analysis of tax systems, healthcare and public administration; - economic geography and regional economics
Providing policy advice for the public and private sector at both national and international level
Organizing conferences and workshops on main policy and research issues
