- Brief description
- The Institute for the Economy in Transition (IET) is an independent non-commercial research organization, founded in 1990.
- Goals and objectives
- The Institute conducts both theoretical and applied studies in the field of economics, consults the agencies of state power of the Russian Federation on issues concerning the problems of economic growth in economies in transition, public finance, monetary and currency exchange policies, privatization policies, corporate finances, restructuring and institutional reform.
- Areas of activities
- Organizing joint scientific research activities with international, economic, and financial organizations
- Studying and summarizing global experience in theory and practice of economic reforms
- Consulting government and non-government organizations
- Organizing and financing researches in the area of social and economic sciences
- Financing and supporting non-commercial, public and other organizations, which have similar purposes and tasks to the Institute
- Organizing joint scientific research activities with international, economic, and financial organizations
