Brief description
Center for Social and Economic Research (CASE) is an independent non-profit institute founded on the idea that research-based policy-making is vital for the economic welfare of societies. Established in Warsaw in 1991, CASE today is an internationally renowned think-tank drawing on the talents of prominent economists and driving the creation of a network of partner institutions in transition countries.
Goals and objectives
Providing objective economic analysis and promoting constructive solutions to the challenges of transition, reform, integration and development in order to improve the socio-economic well-being of societies.

  • Disseminating economic knowledge and the results of research
  • Informing and encouraging public debate through conferences, seminars, academic internships, and study visits
  • Supporting the growth and independence of the NGO sector in post-communist countries
