- Brief description
- Institute for Scientific Research on Economic Reforms (former name: Center of Economic Research) of the Ministry of Economic Development was established in December 2006 by a Presidential Decree and is a result of merging of two institutions: Center of Economic Reforms and Scientific Research Institute of Scientific Technical Information and Technical Economic Researches.
- Goals and objectives
- The mission of the Institute is creating a scientific base for the state’s economic development policy and finding solutions to the challenges in this sphere; defining and implementing strategic directions of economic reforms; integrating the national economy into the world industrial system; expanding cooperation between international economic and financial organizations based on progressive world practice and socio-economic development forecasting.
- Areas of activities
- Conducting research works on socio-economic issues and publishing the results of the works
- Monitoring economic reforms taking place in the country and estimating their economic efficiency
- Preparing programs and concepts on strategic directions of socio-economic policy of the state
- Analyzing socio-economic developments in the country
- Holding meetings, conferences, and trainings on socio-economic issues
- Publishing scientific journals, brochures, and research works
- Meeting national demands for professional workers in various sectors of the national economy through offering post-graduate and doctorate courses
- Conducting research works on socio-economic issues and publishing the results of the works
