CASE co-organized the first conference within the EU Eastern Neighbourhood: Economic Potential and Future Development (ENEPO) project with CEPS (Centre for European Policy Studies) on November 30, 2007. The conference focused on issues of migration and presented one of the latest papers written within the project. The paper is entitled "The Intersection between Justice and Home Affairs and the European Neighborhood Policy". The author of the paper discusses the underlying logic and objectives attributed to cooperation in Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) derived from the viewpoints voiced during the formation of the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP). Also, the author recommends to draft an Action-Oriented Paper on JHA cooperation with the ENP countries that would indicate the way the EU intends to balance the conflicting objectives and instruments that are currently present in the JHA provisions of the ENP.
