CASE—Regional Conference to discuss the IMF reforms was held

IDIS Viitorul—Latvian experts invited to share experience

IDIS Viitorul invited Latvian experts to conduct two trainings on 11-13 and 19-20 April, 2008. The trainings were aimed to create a platform for experience exchange between the Baltic States and Moldova and to inform the participants on the practicalities of the Baltic 'success' in approaching European integration.

Uzbekistan, UAE agree to cooperate in various spheres

President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov arrived on an official visit to Abu Dhabi on 17 March. At the talks with UAE President Sheikh Halifa Bin Zayed Al Nahayan, the two leaders discussed expansion of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE.

Oman, Kazakhstan discuss cooperation

CASE—ENEPO Conference

CASE co-organized the first conference within the EU Eastern Neighbourhood: Economic Potential and Future Development (ENEPO) project with CEPS (Centre for European Policy Studies) on November 30, 2007. The conference focused on issues of migration and presented one of the latest papers written within the project. The paper is entitled "The Intersection between Justice and Home Affairs and the European Neighborhood Policy". The author of the paper discusses the underlying logic and objectives attributed to cooperation in Justice and Home Affairs (JHA) derived from the viewpoints voiced during the formation of the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP). Also, the author recommends to draft an Action-Oriented Paper on JHA cooperation with the ENP countries that would indicate the way the EU intends to balance the conflicting objectives and instruments that are currently present in the JHA provisions of the ENP.

Turkmen-Tajik talks result in signing bilateral documents
