Azerbaijan expects 35% growth of ICT sector in 2008

A “boom” in sector of Informational Communication Technologies (ICT) is expected in Azerbaijan. Iltimas Mammadov, Deputy Minister of Communications and IT of Azerbaijan, reported that ICT income growth is expected in 2007-2011.

Azerbaijan is familiarizing with Latvian experience in “e-government”

Visit of Azeri delegation consisted of Ministries of Economic Development and Taxes of Azerbaijan in Latvia is finishing today. Ministry of Economic Development of Azerbaijan reported that the visit’s main purpose is to familiarize with e-registration system (“single window”) based on the Latvian companies’ experience.

Azerbaijan is hosting the International Conference on Information Technologies

Serbia Broadband Chooses NDS to Protect and Power its Digital Cable Business

Representatives of SCO countries will discuss in Kyrgyzstan the cooperation in development of telecommunication technologies

Launch of an Information Economy and Society Observatory portal by ICEG EC

10.07.2007 - The Observatory is a web-based tool for accessing data, knowledge-building and networking in the field of Information Society developments for the actors of the New European Member States and the Acceding and Candidate Countries, in order to support an evidence-based policy discussion about the information society and its economic impacts in these countries and the region as a whole.
