On October 14-17, all CER staff participated at the training on “Methodology of conducting marketing researches” conducted by one of the leading specialists in this area, Olga Egina member of the Russian Guild of Marketing Specialists, founder of the “Lad” consulting company and the moderator of the famous marketing forum “Marketing Researches”.

IDIS “Viitorul” - Training on logistics

IES - 2008 Financial Stability Institute Award

An IES professor Dr. Petr Jakubík has won 2008 Financial Stability Institute Award for the best paper on a topic related to a financial regulatory and supervisory issue. Dr. Jakubik’s paper is "Macroeconomic credit risk modeling and stress testing – Comparison of the Czech Republic and Germany".

IES - The best thesis competition

Two IES students received the 2008 Josef Vavrousek Prize in the competition for the best thesis. The thesis, Impact of CO2 Emissions Reduction on Firms Financial Performance received the first place. The thesis, Optimal Environmental Tax and the Double Dividend received the second place.

CASE—Project for Azerbaijan has launched

CASE has launched a project that would render advisory services for the Government of Azerbaijan in improving the quality of economic policy making process and the institutional and human resources capacity of the Azeri Ministry of Economic Development. The project is aimed to increase the autonomy of the Ministry in providing adequate response to economic challenges.
