Second EPIN 2008 Working Papers (draft versions) published
Second research works (draft versions) by EPIN 2008 Small Grants Scheme fellows have been published on the portal.
They are "Macroeconomic Forecasting Models Suitable for Transition Economies" and "Macroeconomic Policy in Tajikistan". Both works were written by Maftuna Hakimova, Research Fellow at the Institute of Economic Studies, Tajikistan.
The first paper is devoted to the literature review in the area of economic reforms in Tajikistan. The paper emphasized the necessity of using applied tools in the process of reforms, macroeconomic forecasting models being one of them. The second paper deals with the issue of economic reforms in Tajikistan. The monetary concept of economic reform is thoroughly discussed here, and its positive and negative sides of applying it to the Tajik case are studied.
Maftuna’s papers were mentored by Karel Janda, Ing. Karel Janda M.A., Dr., Ph. D., Transgas-RWE Chair, Institute of Economic Studies in Czech Republic.
