CASE—Regional Conference to discuss the IMF reforms was held

CASE-Kyrgyzstan and the Centre for International Governance organized a meeting on May 20-21. The meeting was aimed to discuss the reforms of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and Central Asia’s perspectives on global monetary cooperation.

The meeting was initiated by the project "New Rules for Global Finance Coalition" that strongly encourages countries other than the OECD members to articulate their needs and priorities for future services from the IMF. The meeting brought together senior officials and scholars from Central Asia.

By means of organizing a number of regional conferences the project tries to tackle the imbalance on shaping an opinion on reforms in the IMF.
