ICEG EC—Financial Summit VII. - Forward or back?
The Hungarian Business Leaders Forum (HBLF) and ICEG European Center organized a high-level one-day conference on April 14, 2008. The event focused on issues related to fiscal adjustment, public finance reforms and economic growth, with special focus on healthcare reforms and on planned tax reforms. Lajos Bokros, a professor of the Central European University, Former Minister of Finance and István Stumpf, the President of the “Századvég” Foundation Former Head of the Prime Minister’s Office were key-note speakers. The guest of the conference was András Simor, the President of the Hungarian National Bank. Other current and former government officials, international experts, leading economists and the academic community within the framework of a roundtable discussion presented their views on the challenges the Hungarian economy and public finances.
