Current paper analyzes the microfinance policies and institutions in a number of countries in Central Asia. The emphasis is given to the role and importance of microfinance as an effective measure in poverty alleviation. It presents a detailed analysis of regional microfinance programmes and their role in area based development, as well as the demand for the microfinance services in Uzbekistan.

This paper reviews scientific literature that covers the issues of unemployment, poverty, microfinance, as well as the views of various authors on its essence, goals, forms and methods.
Current paper deals with the issue of economic reforms in Tajikistan. The monetary concept of economic reform is thoroughly discussed here, and its positive and negative sides of applying it to the Tajik case are studied.
This paper is devoted to the literature review in the area of economic reforms in Tajikistan. The paper emphasized the necessity of using applied tools in the process of reforms, macroeconomic forecasting models being one of them.
