About site

This web-site is created as a bi-lingual on-line resource to serve the needs of EPIN in experience, information and knowledge exchange. The on-line resource incorporates the services that foster communication between participants, to effect online education and to run joint projects. In particular, the web-resource has the following services, which will function independently as well as interact with each other:

* Projects
* Databases
* Education
* Communication



Periodicals - to be added by the network users. New materials are to be announced within the topics of the site, the old ones are to be classified and sent to the archive, where it is possible to find them by using classifiers, date of addition and key words.

Projects - collective development of research works and publication the results of the research.

Databases - contain the classified information of site resources, which provides users with an opportunity of filtration and search. Other services use databases for accumulating information and as a reference sources.

Education - qualifies the registered users of the system to pass online training and thereby obtain knowledge in certain areas. Courses, tests and assignments are the components if the service.

Communication - communication between participants of the network is considered to be a raison d’?tre of its functioning. Participants are made eligible to publicly communicate with each other in forums, exchange personal messages, pose questions to other participants, collect statistical data in the form of a survey and participate in online discussions that focus on certain topics.



The Central Asian Gateway (CAG) project contributes to supporting the EPIN operation through providing full package of services related to the development and maintaining of the network’s web-site.
