What Makes Children Have No Good Peer Relationship and Need Social Development Help?

Children peer relationship is very important. Well, children who are unable to form close or satisfying relationship with peers should be of concern to parents and teachers alike. Sometimes, this kind of children misses out on opportunities to learn social skills that will be important throughout their lives.

Children who lack ongoing peer involvements are also may miss opportunities and to build a sense of social self-confidence. If this kind of children develops little faith in their own abilities to achieve interpersonal goals, they will be easily overwhelmed by the normal ups and downs of social interaction. For a number of children, however, peer relations are persistently problematic. Some children are actively rejected by peers. The others are simply ignored, or neglected and it even appears that some popular children have many friends but nevertheless feel alone and unhappy. The children without satisfying friendship may suffer from painful feelings of isolation. And the school ma is an unpleasant place for the children. There are many people had bullied in their junior or high school. This condition should not happen if the teachers knew how to give better supervision in special school time. Some reasons that makes children becomes bullies are the child rearing influences, the characteristic of the child and factors of the environment. The boys tend to be more aggressive and more overactive and hyperactive than the girls. Some characteristics which are associated with predicting children with a high level of difficult behaviors are irregular eating and sleeping habits, difficulty adapting to new situations, negative moods, strong moods, and unpredictable behavior. Well, American homes and schools do not provide negative consequences for bullies and society sees bullying as transient or inconsequential. For boys, bullying is seen as “standing up for himself”. This condition really needs better social development programs in school. In the school environment, bullying is often unnoticed or ignored and supervision.

Social Development Program for Children Who Become Bullies

Have you ever bullied in your junior or high school? if you had not, you should be vey lucky or at least you are popular enough because according to some estimates, especially from The national Center of Educational Statistic report that 77% of middle and high school students in small mid-western towns have been bullied.

And a newly released study from National Institutes of Health published in the Journal of the American Medical Association reveals that almost a third of 6th to 10th grades, which is 5.7 million children nationwide; have experienced some kind of bullying. Actually the bullying things will not happened if the teachers have better supervision during the noon hour, recess, free play and on the school bus. How do children become bullies? Some research noted that some children rearing influences, characteristic of the child and factors of the environment.  Well, some children may have not have received warmth and caring from the mother and may not have felt loved.
